A hard life is filled with escalating conflict. Jobs, family relations, and other events have escalating battles, naturally. When one becomes a writer it is to find a make-believe way to the happily ever after escaping these sufferings. When one reads a novel, listens to a verbally told story, watches television shows or movies it is to indulge in pain. When we listen to the news we delight in anguish in the world and our local communities. Yes, I do mean delight. When we watch sporting events the athletes' suffering becomes entertainment.
A writer does a contradictory thing. One writes to escape from "real life" with its issues. A professional writer writes conflict profusely. The pain is for the professional pen. Waikiki is for the worthless writer. Mere circumstances on scripts never leave the script. The audience wants to experience pain without experiencing pain. They experience pain selectively in the time of entertainment. Also, the audience does a contradictory thing. How does one reverse these contradictions? Give me a Pina Colonda to think about it.
Now, if you are writing your first or fiftieth screenplay I can tell you how to increase the conflict in your particular story for the silverscreen. Before you submit your screenplay in the appropriate venues you need someone who knows what Hollywood wants and demands from a writer. I will scrutinize your screenplay draft word for word. Star Wars Darth Vader versus Anakin Skywalker
Star Wars Darth Vader versus Anakin Skywalker
This is the idea that people will really gravitate toward. However, unless Disney executives agree to such an idea will not come to light. The first Star Wars movie referred as the New Hope is the only plot material that I am starting with. The other now six movies are deleted from this form of Star Wars universe. Imagine if George Lucas decided to make a prequel to explain some of the information in the 1977 movie instead of making Empire and Jedi. This is what I think it would be like.
Most of the content that I am coming up with is based on the conversation that Obi Wan had with Luke Skywalker before Luke's Uncle and Aunt are killed. Obi Wan says that Darth Vader was a pupil learning the ways of the force. Obi Wan says that Anakin Skywalker was a good friend fighting with him in star ship battles. He says that Darth Vader turns to the dark side and entraps Anakin Skywalker to be killed. We know that both Empire and Jedi Star Wars movies end having to explain things rather strange and somewhat twisted way to justify the plots in those movies.
A scene near the beginning would be Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker practicing lightsaber fighting with Obi Wan instructing Darth Vader in the Jedi temple. Darth Vader is perfectly sound in health. He does not have the mask, suit, nor breathing machine. However, in the movie his face is not seen until he fights Anakin Skywalker to the death. Yoda calls them to the Jedi counsel. He says there is a massive disturbance in the force. Five planets have been invaded by brutal criminal elements. These criminal enterprises has expressed its dissatisfaction how the Galaxy is ruled. They say it needs more rigid order to have harmony. The representative government of the Galactic Republic seems too messy and uncontrollable for those in the narrow way group. However, one would have to say this. This is simply a group that lusts for power and control no matter how it hurts those who are ruled by their power.
The leader of this group is a mysterious character that does not appear in person only in holograms. Remember, the Emperor did not appear at all in Episode 4. He only appeared as a hologram in Episode 5. Only in Episode 6 he appears in person. Episode 7 Snoke does not appear in person only hologram form. I think this idea of a mysterious unknown master villain does play well.
Yoda is the supreme master Jedi. However, he shows child likeness in a couple of scenes in the movie. A possible opening scene would be when Obi Wan first meets Yoda. He does not know it is Yoda. This little green creature interacts in a fashion like Yoda interacted with Luke Skywalker in Empire with Obi Wan. He might be picked up by Yoda in a flying taxi or shuttle to the Jedi Temple. It is there where Obi Wan and Yoda first meet.
Anakin Skywalker fights the criminal element in starship entanglements. He fights with Obi Wan who is his commrade in star war fighting.
Yoda is killed by Darth Vader. Obi Wan and Yoda do massively damage Darth Vader. That is the reason why Darth Vader has the mask and breathing equipment. Darth Vader is seduced by the dark side this way. He is captured the criminal element. The master of the dark side sees that the force is strong with him. They let him go to a planet without being imprisoned. He lives there for awhile. He meets the master of the dark side. However, Darth Vader is not aware of who he is. So, the master of the dark side is simply acts as a friend giving guidance and advice. That is how he is seduced.
Anakin Skywalker is seduced not to the dark side, but he becomes unwittingly irresponsible. He does fall in love with a beautiful woman. This woman is the mother of Luke Skywalker. The master of the dark side kills her to lure Anakin Skywalker to fight Darth Vader who by this time has joined the dark side. The master of the dark side tries to persuade Anakin Skywalker right before Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker rumble with the lighsabers. The master of the dark side is so mysterious that he is persuading through a intercom system. When Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker finally fight is when Darth Vader face is finally seen in the movie. It can be done this way because everyone will want to know what they each look like particularly by this point in the movie. It will be a important suspense device.
The clone wars will be in this movie. The dark side uses clones to fight with. It is the easiest way to raise a large army quickly. The Jedi are destroyed because of the dark side uses a clone army. The Jedi are the guardians of the galaxy. They are destroyed by the master of the dark side use of the clone army and other tools.
